GCSE tutoring
It is becoming increasingly difficult to ensure pupils attain the 5A* to Cs that are desirable at GCSE level. With the expert assistance of Xtra Curricula, your child can get a head start towards gaining the GCSE grades necessary for A Level study. The GCSE examinations are normally taken in May or June towards the end of school Year 11, when the pupils are 16. The school courses take two academic years, and so commence in September at the beginning of Year 10.
At Xtra Curricula, we aim to give your child a head start in their education. Xtra Curricula teaches students with a broad range of ability and background, ranging from those with learning difficulties to the gifted candidate. We start by identifying areas of weakness and developing a customised programme of tuition. Working alongside parent and child, we set and agree realistic targets for improvement, allowing for immediate, positive and corrective feedback to help the pupil stay on track and not repeat errors. Tuition follows a natural course from the initial assessment, foundation and reinforcement.
How will your child be tutored?
After an initial assessment, you child will become part of a small group of children (up to 10) of a similar ability. Each student will receive an individualized education plan addressing strengths, weaknesses and targets for improvement.
Each weekly session lasts three hours, during which your child will be tutored in Maths, English and Science. Every session is conducted by dedicated, experienced and qualified CRB checked teachers.
Why choose Xtra Curricula?
